Job summary

J.D. Power is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Valuation Services data science team in a remote-friendly role. You will build and deploy AI/ML models, work with Python/R and SQL on large automotive datasets, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to productionize analytics.

You will lead complex projects, document processes, and create actionable insights for internal and external clients using Snowflake and Tableau.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Graduate degree.
• 4+ years of working with large datasets.
• 4+ years of statistical programming (Python/Spark preferred; R/SAS a plus).
• 4+ years of database experience (MS SQL, Snowflake, MySQL).
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy advanced AI/ML and regression models.
• Evaluate and optimize models; document ML processes.
• Lead end-to-end data science projects; collaborate with tech teams.
• Develop analytics with product teams to power new products.
• Create visual reports in Tableau for stakeholders.
• Share ideas to improve predictive algorithms; conduct ad-hoc analyses.
