Job summary

Dexcom Philippines is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Enterprise Cyber Defense team in Cebu. You will lead SOC monitoring, DFIR activities, and detection engineering across SIEM, XDR/EDR, and cloud security, while mentoring colleagues and guiding security projects.

The role requires strong experience in security operations, threat hunting, incident response, and the use of AI-enabled security tools, with on-call readiness and cross-region collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Security Operations, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and DFIR methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, XDR/EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability management, firewall, email security, and cloud security technologies.
• Proven ability to design, implement, tune, and maintain security detections, analytics, and monitoring use cases.
• Experience using AI-assisted security technologies to improve detection and response outcomes.
• Experience leading security projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead monitoring, investigation, and response to security events across SIEM, XDR/EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls, cloud, and other platforms.
• Conduct DFIR activities including threat hunting, malware investigations, endpoint and network forensics, and post-incident reviews.
• Design and optimize detection content, correlation rules, analytics, and use cases based on threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Mentor analysts and engineers in incident response, threat detection, and security operations best practices.
• Possibly lead or participate in penetration testing, purple-team exercises, and adversary emulation.
