Job summary

Dexcom Philippines is seeking a Senior Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the SOC operations and DFIR efforts across SIEM, XDR/EDR, and cloud security. The role emphasizes threat hunting, incident response, and building robust detection content in a fast‑paced environment.

You will mentor teams, drive security initiatives, and collaborate on cross-functional projects while supporting US, EMEA, or APAC operations on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Security Operations, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and DFIR methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, XDR/EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability management, firewall, email security, and cloud security technologies.
• Experience designing, implementing, tuning, and maintaining detections, analytics, and monitoring use cases.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted security technologies, automation, ML analytics, or generative AI for detection and response.
• Experience leading security projects, deployments, and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Tier 4 SOC Engineer, leading monitoring, investigation, and response to security events across SIEM, XDR/EDR, email security, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls, cloud, and related platforms.
• Lead or support DFIR activities: threat hunting, malware investigations, endpoint and network forensics, root cause analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain detections, correlations, analytics, and use cases based on threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Leverage AI and ML capabilities to enhance detection engineering and security operations.
• Act as shift lead or escalation point; mentor analysts and engineers across incident response and forensics.
