Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with revenue recognition in residential construction preferred.
• CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and deferrals; review GL accounts for discrepancies.
• Review final closing statements (HUD/ALTA) and job cost summaries with variance explanations.
• Reconcile construction loan accounts across banks; ensure draws and repayments are accurate.
• Assist in developing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; support audits.
• Prepare monthly related party rebills for payroll and benefits; train junior staff.
