Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search are seeking a Senior Concentrate Trader to be based in Zug, Switzerland. The role involves sourcing and selling physical commodities, building supplier and customer relationships, and managing risk positions. Travel to client meetings and industry events is expected.

Candidates should have 5+ years in physical trading, with 8 years preferred, and possess a transferable book along with strong negotiation skills and knowledge of metals hedging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred: Experience in metal concentrates (lead & zinc preferable).
• Must have a transferable book.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of metals trading and hedging.
• To be located in Geneva or Zug.

Responsibilities

• Source and sell physical commodities in EU / LATAM.
• Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
• Manage physical risk positions.
• Attend client meetings and industry events (20-40% travel).
• Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
• Reports to Commercial Trading Director.
