Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Senior Metal Trader to source and sell physical commodities in APAC, with travel up to 40% and close coordination with suppliers and clients. The role requires building relationships, managing risk, and developing competitive commercial proposals.

Candidates should have transferable trading books, 5+ years in physical trading (8 years preferred), and willingness to relocate to Singapore. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred.
• Experience in base metals / ferroalloys.
• Must have a transferable trading book.
• Located in Singapore or willing to relocate.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and sell physical commodities in APAC.
• Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
• Manage physical risk positions.
• Attend client meetings and industry events (20-40% travel).
• Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
• Report to Commercial Trading Director.
