Redstone Commodity Search is recruiting a Senior Nonferrous Scrap Trader to be located in Zurich, Switzerland. The role focuses on expanding aluminium scrap purchasing and sales across Europe and global markets, building long-term supplier and buyer relationships, and overseeing risk and commercial strategy.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years in metals trading, deep knowledge of European scrap markets, and a proven track record in negotiating complex contracts with strong P&L ownership.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in metals trading, with a focus on aluminium scrap or NF products.
• Deep understanding of European scrap markets, pricing mechanisms, and material grades.
• Established network of suppliers and buyers across aluminium recycling and smelting.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L ownership and negotiating complex contracts.
• Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial trading environment with strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Expand and manage aluminium scrap purchasing and sales portfolios across Europe and global markets.
• Originate new supply channels and build long-term relationships with scrap yards, smelters, refiners, and industrial counterparties.
• Analyse market trends, pricing dynamics, and quality specifications to optimise trading positions and margins.
• Collaborate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution from contract to delivery.
• Drive commercial strategy, including risk management, contract structuring, and new business development.
