Job summary

Maya in Manila is seeking a Senior Clearing Operations Specialist to oversee the bank's end-to-end clearing operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of check clearing, transfers, settlements, and treasury transactions.

You will review and approve transactions, monitor exceptions, conduct root-cause analyses, support audits, and lead process improvements with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in clearing, settlements, treasury operations, payments or banking operations.
• Experience with reconciliation, exception handling and operational risk management.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and banking controls.
• Exposure to audits or regulatory reviews is preferred.
• Experience in system implementations or UAT projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end processing of clearing transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve transactions, reconciliations, and settlement reports.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve operational exceptions and reconciliation breaks.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations, PCHC rules, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal teams, banks, clearing houses, and counterparties.
• Prepare operational reports and audit-ready documentation; drive process improvements.
