Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in category management, merchandising, procurement, or related roles.
• Proven experience managing product categories and supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and category management systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure effective category execution.
• Monitor inventory levels, product lifecycle, and demand planning to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports and insights on category performance, sales forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and mentor category management team members when applicable.
