Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Cash Application Analyst to manage high-risk payment exceptions, optimize cash-matching rules, and drive automation within the revenue cycle. This remote, night-shift role demands expertise in A/R, ledger accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead analytics, develop KPI dashboards, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to process improvements and ERP initiatives in a dynamic vendor services environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive operational experience in cash applications, A/R, revenue cycle, or financial accounting operations.
• Expert-level mastery of double-entry accounting principles and complex reconciliations.
• Advanced data analysis using Excel and related tools to track metrics and ledger trends.
• Proven track record in process improvements, automation, and scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for high-risk payment exceptions and complex unapplied cash discrepancies.
• Partner with Technology and Finance to drive automation and ERP upgrades.
• Develop reporting, KPI dashboards, and analytics on large data sets.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement permanent process fixes.
• Coach and train junior Cash Applications Analysts; develop SOPs and training materials.
• Represent Cash Applications in cross-functional forums to align end-to-end workflows.
• Oversee SOX governance and support month- and quarter-end close with minimal supervision.
