Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is hiring a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety domains. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and compliance with codes and safety directives.

You will support the implementation of maintenance programs, handle emergency repairs, and coach peers while upholding CBRE RISE values and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer (EE) or Mechanical Engineer (ME) required.
• 3–4 years of facilities/building management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting 50 lbs+ and climbing stairs or ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation of building systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach teammates and share knowledge across disciplines; lead by example in CBRE RISE values.
• Impact various customer, operational, and service activities within and across teams.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information effectively.
