Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling to ensure reliable, safe operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repairs, ensure compliance with codes, manage energy use, and support a safe work environment. The role requires hands‑on problem solving, strong teamwork, and embodying CBRE RISE values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred, and certifications/licenses may be required by local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire and life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs.
• Follow policies for safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specifications.
• Apply knowledge to accomplish complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and uphold CBRE RISE values.
• Support cross-team activities and clear communication.
