Job summary

Extenteam Client Roles in the Philippines is hiring a Senior Accountant Team Lead for our centralized finance group. This fully remote position focuses on day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

You will mentor junior accountants, drive process improvements, and ensure strict internal controls while delivering timely analyses for internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 4–6 years professional accounting experience preferred.
• 5–7 years experience leading at least 2 Accountants.
• Continuing Education (Master in Accountancy, CPA, CMA) preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
• Strong Excel skills; Knowledge of GAAP/SFAS.
• Ability to analyze financial data and report results.
• Must be residing in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day accounting and month-end close functions; records financial transactions.
• Prepares, reviews, and distributes financial reports.
• Prepares reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial analysis.
• Prepares budgets, forecasts, trend analysis, and fluctuation commentary.
• Ensures internal controls are followed and effective.
• Provides financial reporting and analysis to internal and external partners.
• Identifies opportunities and implements process improvements.
• Acts as Team Leader mentoring new hires and leading projects.
