Access is seeking an experienced accounting professional in the Philippines to oversee general accounting functions, ensure tax compliance, and lead the accounting team. The role involves budgeting, payroll accuracy, and implementing process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

The successful candidate will analyze financial activities for tax efficiency, conduct regular audits, and guide junior staff to ensure accuracy before period closes.

Qualifications

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions.
• Analyze financial activities to identify tax-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies to improve tax efficiency.
• Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable tax laws and perform regular audits to ensure compliance.
• Assist in budgeting sales and expenses for a period and forecast future financial performance based on historical data.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions before closing each accounting period.
• Lead, train, and motivate the accounting team, delegate tasks, and evaluate performance.
• Check payroll accuracy, deductions, and salary payments.
• Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
• Analyze financial activities to identify tax-saving opportunities and implementing effective strategies to improve tax efficiency.
• Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable tax laws. Perform regular audits and reviews of works done by subordinates to ensure compliance and identify any discrepancies.
• Assists in budgeting sales and expenses for a certain period. Forecast future financial performance based on historical performance and market trends. Compare budget and actual performance and take corrective actions on noted variances.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions before closing of each accounting period.
• Lead, train, and motivate the accounting team, delegate tasks and evaluate performance.
• Check accuracy of payroll computation, deductions and salary payments.
• Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen internal controls and work with various department to identify areas for improvement.
