Job summary

Connext is seeking a Senior Accountant 1 to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations, maintain accurate records, process transactions, and assist with month-end close.

The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting support, and compliance, requiring attention to detail and strong English communication. Collaboration with the finance team and adherence to internal controls are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with general accounting activities, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Process invoices, expense reports, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and documented within established timelines.
• Support accounting activities required for accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation as needed.
• Support variance analysis and basic financial reporting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Provide financial and administrative support to the accounting and finance team.
• Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain documentation required for audits and compliance requirements.
• Assist with requests from external auditors, management, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
