Job summary

Connext in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant 2 to maintain accurate and fully reconciled accounting records for our U.S. based operations. You will record, review, and classify transactions, perform month-end close, and prepare financial statements.

The role requires strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles, experience with reconciliations, and the ability to work with U.S. management during agreed hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• 3+ years supporting U.S.-based companies or clients.
• Proficient in Excel with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Record, review, and classify financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance-sheet accounts timely.
• Review the general ledger for errors and discrepancies.
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrections.
• Perform monthly close and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheets.
• Maintain organized documentation for transactions.
• Support management reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Coordinate with management and CPA resources as needed.
• Communicate effectively with U.S.-based management during agreed working hours.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
