Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a Senior Accountant 2 to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a US-based organization. You will oversee accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, support month-end close, and prepare financial statements and schedules.

You will record transactions in QuickBooks Online, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits and financial reporting. Collaboration with U.S. CPAs and internal stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience handling AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience in QuickBooks Online.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Stable employment history.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reclassifications.
• Manage accounts payable and vendor payments (250–300 invoices monthly).
• Maintain accounts receivable records and reconcile customer accounts.
• Perform bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete month-end close activities and support timely financial reporting.
• Prepare Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting requirements.
• Support CPA reviews, audits, and other financial compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiencies.
