Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations for a professional services environment, with emphasis on month-end close, GL accuracy, and financial analysis. You will work across project/time-tracking data and accounting systems to produce clean financials and improve processes.

The role requires strong accrual accounting, GAAP knowledge, and expertise with QuickBooks Online/Desktop; experience with Excel and payroll workflows is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong accrual accounting and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience running month-end close with supporting documentation.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop is required.
• Experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and large data sets.
• Familiarity with payroll processing tools and time-tracking systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close end-to-end, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and proper coding with audit trails.
• Pull, clean, and analyze large datasets to support close and reporting.
• Collaborate with project management/time-tracking tools to validate time and costs.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements and controls.
