When the cyber insurer asks, your work is why every answer is yes.
You keep every one of our clients secure, and you can prove it. You run threat detection and response across all of them, you own the security baseline every engineer applies, and you lead when something goes wrong.
This is real security work for real businesses: Huntress EDR, Defender, Conditional Access, Essential Eight assessments, phishing simulations and incident response. You will see the threats Australian businesses face, and you will stop them.
You work Australian business hours: about 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Manila time, or 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM when Australia is not on daylight saving. That is a day shift in Manila. You also take a fair share of the on-call roster for critical alerts, paid according to Philippine labour law.
You are an AImagineers employee, never a contractor on loan. AImagineers directs and supports your work, sets the standard and stands behind you. The client tells us what they need, and we agree together how it is done well.
Pay
Monthly compensation package: PHP 100,000 to 115,000. Placement within the range is based on our technical assessment.
Why people join us
- A day shift, for real. Australian hours run from about 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Manila. Most offshore IT jobs for Australia and the US run all night. Ours finish in time for dinner.
- Your own client, and a whole team behind you. One business to master, whose owner knows your name. Behind you stand a Lead Engineer, a backup engineer who covers your leave, and specialists in cloud, security and AI. Staffing agencies hand you a client and nothing else. We hand you a team.
- AI-equipped from day one. A company MacBook, Claude, and Syncro with AI tooling built in. You learn the way the best IT teams will work for the next ten years, and you get paid while you learn it.
- A tour of duty, with a promotion in sight. You agree an 18-month plan with us: the outcome you own, the certification you will earn, and the role you move to next. At month 12 we sit down together and plan your next tour.
- Their win is your win. When your client renews, you get a bonus. Good work is noticed and paid for here.
- Strong pay, always on time. We aim to pay in the top quarter of the Philippine market for every role. Payroll is never late. We fund your certifications, and we pay tenure bonuses at 12 and 24 months.
What you will do
- Monitor and triage Huntress EDR and identity threat alerts across all clients
- Lead incident response: contain, investigate, fix, and write the incident summary
- Own the security baseline: Conditional Access, Defender, Intune compliance, MFA and least privilege
- Run Essential Eight assessments for Australian clients, and track the fixes
- Deliver the security programme: policies, hardening, scripted compliance checks and audits
- Run phishing simulations and security awareness training for client staff
- Help clients answer cyber insurance and customer security questionnaires
- Review other engineers' changes that affect security, and coach them on secure practice
- Keep incident response and breach-notification runbooks current
Core requirements
- Hands-on EDR or MDR operations: Huntress, Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike or similar
- Strong Microsoft Defender, Entra ID Conditional Access and Intune security configuration
- Working knowledge of the Australian Essential Eight or a similar framework (CIS, NIST CSF)
- Incident response experience, including clear written incident reports
- Clear written English: you can explain risk to a business owner without jargon
- Two separate internet connections at home, power backup for at least 2 hours, and a quiet private workspace
Strong signals we look for
- You have handled a real compromise and written up what happened
- You prioritise by business risk, not by the number of alerts
- You make secure settings easy for other engineers to apply
Good to have
- SC-200, CompTIA Security+ or similar certification
- Experience with KQL or SIEM queries
- Security experience across several clients at a managed service provider
Pay and benefits
- A team bonus when the team meets its yearly service targets
- 13th-month pay, plus SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG
- HMO from your first day, extended to one dependent from your second year
- A monthly connectivity and power allowance
- Company MacBook, Claude and every licence the job needs
- Tenure bonuses at 12 and 24 months
- 15 days vacation leave and 15 days sick leave a year from regularisation
Growth
- Funded certifications: SC-200 or CompTIA Security+ in your first year
- An 18-month development plan, with a path to a security lead role as the client base grows

AImagineers Managed IT is part of AImagineers Software Philippines OPC, an AI engineering studio based in BGC, Taguig.
How we hire
We aim to decide within about 10 days.
- Screen (days 0-3): CV review, a 15-minute call and a short written English sample.
- Practical (days 3-5): an alert triage exercise with a written incident summary.
- Panel (days 5-7): with the Lead Engineer, on your baseline approach and how you work with other engineers.
- Offer (around day 10), then a background check and a home-setup check.
