AImagineers Managed IT is seeking a senior team lead in the Philippines to coach a pod of about 12 engineers, stay hands-on, and drive delivery for Australian and New Zealand clients. You will mentor engineers, review work, clear blockers, and handle escalations.

Responsabilidades

• Sit on hiring panels and coach new engineers through first 90 days

Lead a pod of 12 engineers, and keep your hands on the tools.

You lead a team of about 12 engineers, which we call a pod, and every client they serve. You coach them, review their work, clear what blocks them and take their first escalations.

You keep every account in your pod ready for a backup engineer to run tomorrow. And you stay an engineer: you take the hardest technical work yourself, so your team learns from what you do as well as what you say.

We look at our own engineers first, and we welcome strong external team leads from managed service providers.

You work remotely, with occasional meetups in BGC, Taguig. Hours are Australian business hours, a Manila day shift.

Pay

Monthly compensation package: PHP 100,000 to 110,000. Placement within the range is based on our technical assessment.

What you will do

• Lead a pod of about 12 engineers: monthly one-to-ones, development plans and probation reviews

• Plan leave and cover with the Service Coordinator and the backup engineers
• Hold the technical relationship with your pod’s clients, and join their quarterly reviews

• Handle complex technical work and team projects yourself
• Report pod health, service risks and people risks to the Lead Engineer

Core requirements

• 7+ years in systems administration, including team-lead experience at a managed service provider; or a Senior-level AImagineers engineer with 12+ months and a strong delivery record
• Coaching ability: people want to learn from you
• High documentation standards, which you enforce kindly and consistently
• Clear written and spoken English, with clients and with engineers
• Two separate internet connections at home, power backup for at least 2 hours, and a quiet private workspace

About us

AImagineers Managed IT runs the IT of growing businesses in Australia and New Zealand, most with 20 to 150 staff. Each client has a named engineer who knows the business and works its hours.

A team stands behind every engineer: a Lead Engineer for escalations, a backup engineer for leave, specialists in cloud, security and AI, and a service coordinator. All of it is delivered from the Philippines, fully remote.

AImagineers Managed IT is part of AImagineers Software Philippines OPC, an AI engineering studio based in BGC, Taguig.

How we hire

We aim to decide within about 2 weeks.

• Screen (days 0–3): CV review and a 30-minute call.
• Practical (days 3–6): the Lead Engineer’s mock critical-incident exercise, plus a coaching scenario.
• Panel (days 6–9): with the Lead Engineer and the Service Delivery Manager.
• Offer (around day 12), then a background check, references from people you led, and a home-setup check.
