Star Special Corporate Security Management, Inc. is seeking a Security Assistant Detachment Commander to support the Detachment Commander in supervising security personnel and day-to-day operations at the assigned account.
The role requires hands-on security operations capability, incident response, and the ability to coordinate with the client and management to maintain discipline, readiness, and effective deployment of security staff.
About the role
The Security Assistant Detachment Commander will support the Detachment Commander in the effective management, supervision, and administration of security personnel and day-to-day security operations at the assigned account. The position shall serve as a key supervisory support function in maintaining discipline, operational readiness, proper deployment, and overall performance of the security force. The successful candidate must be hands-on in security operations and capable of assisting in the supervision of security personnel, post inspections, duty assignments, attendance and deployment monitoring, incident response, and resolution of operational concerns. The candidate must be capable of taking appropriate action in the absence of the Detachment Commander and ensuring continuity of security operations.
Key responsibilities
Assist the Detachment Commander in the overall supervision and management of security operations
Monitor the proper deployment, attendance, discipline, grooming, and performance of security personnel
Conduct regular post inspections and ensure strict compliance with established post orders and security procedures
Assist in preparing and reviewing incident reports, daily security reports, investigation reports, and other operational documentation
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and operational concerns and coordinate with appropriate personnel
Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and gathering relevant information concerning security incidents
Coordinate with the client and company management regarding operational concerns, security requirements, and personnel matters
Monitor compliance with company policies, client directives, and applicable security standards
Assist in manpower deployment, scheduling, reliever arrangements, and other operational requirements
Provide guidance and supervision to security personnel to ensure professional and effective performance of their duties
About you
Must possess a valid and current Security Officer License
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Security Officer
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a security environment is highly desirable
Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, personnel supervision, incident response, and security procedures
Good communication, report-writing, organizational, and coordination skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make appropriate decisions during security incidents and operational situations
Strong leadership, discipline, integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the position
Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when operationally required
