Job Overview: The Sales Training Specialist provides essential support in organizing and administering training programs. This role focuses on coordinating logistics, preparing materials, assisting trainers, and handling training documentation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Internal Customers:
- Conduct interviews with applicants for entry level positions (L1 and L2).
- Coordinate the reservation and allocation of training resources to ensure smooth onboarding and the deployment of new hires.
- Remain informed and updated of all processes and policies.
- Provide support to Training officers in evaluating the effectiveness of the training program.
- Administer and implement basic training and development programs for new hires, such as orientation, to ensure excellent performance.
- In-charge of preparing timely progress reports of trainees and providing feedback and endorsement to team managers.
- Coordinate with other departments for requirements and other support as necessary.
- Assist in objectively resolving concerns faced by new hires. Creates recommendations to address issues and concerns related, but not limited, to trainees’ onboarding, development, deployment and others.
External Customers:
- Invite and secure attendance of customers in attending training sessions.
- Arrange pre-requisites and the implementation of a training session.
- Assist in the execution on the day of the training program.
Qualifications:
- A University degree holder
- 0-2 years of experience in a training or sales-related function (preferably in the FMCG industry or related).
- Passionate about developing people and enabling them to succeed in their roles.
- Patient and adaptable when working with learners at different levels of knowledge or performance.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Good in presentation and facilitation skills (both in-person and virtual)
- Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and customer service standards.
- Confident, engaging, and able to command attention in group settings.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong sense of initiative and reliability.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams.
- Willingness to travel to different office locations if needed.
