Identify, target, and win new business opportunities in sectors such as industrial warehousing, high-rise commercial structures, and infrastructure projects.
Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share across the structural steel and building materials sector.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including project developers, main contractors, structural engineers, architects, and procurement officers.
Collaborate closely with engineering and estimation teams to review blueprints and structural drawings, ensuring accurate cost estimations and quotations.
Analyze project specifications (e.g., steel grades, load-bearing capacities, and anti-corrosion coating standards) to deliver value-engineered solutions to clients.
Lead the preparation, submission, and defense of formal tenders, technical proposals, and commercial bids.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and timely follow-ups.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, and payment schedules to protect project profitability while maximizing client satisfaction.
Conduct ongoing market intelligence to monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and emerging building technologies.
Serve as the crucial link between clients and manufacturing plants to ensure production schedules align with site delivery timelines.
Lead, mentor, and track performance for a team of sales executives to consistently achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and professional networking events.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven sales/business development experience specifically in Structural Steel, PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), or Heavy Construction Materials.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate structural engineering drawings and CAD files.
Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, structural design principles, and material standards.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional negotiation, contract closing, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management abilities.
Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, client offices, and factory facilities.
