Job summary

K and Company is seeking a Sales Analyst to monitor and optimize performance across stores and product lines, manage inventory health, and coordinate logistics and data reporting. You will build dashboards in Excel, generate management summaries, and support forecasting based on historical trends.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Retail Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, and Logistics to improve stock availability, movement, and overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance by store, product, category, and period.
• Prepare sales reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
• Analyze sales targets versus actual performance.
• Identify sales trends, best-selling, slow-moving, and underperforming products.
• Assist in sales forecasting and planning.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, availability, and aging across stores and warehouses.
• Analyze fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory.
• Monitor stock replenishment and allocation requirements.
• Track inter-store and warehouse-to-store stock transfers.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
• Monitor inventory turnover and stock utilization.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation and physical inventory counts.
• Recommend inventory optimization strategies to minimize excess and shortage of stocks.
• Monitor the movement and delivery of merchandise between suppliers, warehouse, stores, and other locations.
• Coordinate with logistics providers, couriers, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and store teams regarding deliveries and transfers.
• Track delivery schedules and ensure timely movement of merchandise.
• Maintain accurate records of stock transfers, deliveries, receiving, and dispatch activities.
• Monitor logistics-related costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Assist in coordinating urgent or priority deliveries and stock movements.
• Investigate delays, discrepancies, damaged items, or missing merchandise and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
• Support the development and improvement of logistics and inventory processes.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory status, stock aging, product movement, stock transfers, and logistics activities.
• Consolidate data from stores, warehouse, sales, logistics, and other operational sources.
• Maintain accurate sales, inventory, and logistics databases.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely submission of reports to management.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and prepare reports as requested.
• Provide analytical support to Merchandising, Retail Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, and Logistics.
• Assist in forecasting inventory requirements based on sales trends and historical data.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Assist management in developing strategies to improve inventory availability, stock movement, sales performance, and logistics efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives involving inventory, logistics, and retail operations.
