The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting, selling, and providing technical support for medical equipment and supplies. The role combines sales expertise with technical knowledge to ensure customers receive appropriate product solutions, proper demonstrations, and after-sales support while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell medical equipment and supplies to hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities
- Identify and develop new accounts while maintaining existing client relationships
- Prepare and present product proposals, quotations, and technical specifications
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Technical Support & Product Expertise
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and in-service training to clients
- Provide technical explanations and recommendations based on customer needs
- Assist clients in product selection, usage, and basic troubleshooting
- Coordinate with service/technical teams for installations, repairs, and maintenance
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for customers before and after sales
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on product features, industry trends, and competitor activities
- Gather market feedback and relay insights to management for product improvementParticipate in product launches, trade shows, and medical conventions
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client visits, and transactions
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
