Job Summary
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving the company's overall growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue. This role leads the Business Development team, establishes sales objectives, and collaborates with key stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research.
- Generate and qualify sales leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Support negotiations and follow up on business opportunities to secure contracts.
- Coordinate with operations, marketing, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote the company's products and services.
- Achieve individual and team sales and business development targets.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, opportunities, and market developments.
Revenue Generation
- Lead efforts to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Manage the sales pipeline and oversee business development activities.
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close high-value business opportunities.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and customer needs.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts and partnerships.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and long‑term business retention.
- Represent the company during client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Management to align business objectives.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns and lead‑generation initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of products and services.
Leadership & Team Management (For Sales Account Manager Head)
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team.
- Set departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring (For Sales Account Manager Head)
- Prepare and present business performance reports to senior management.
- Monitor key metrics, sales forecasts, and revenue performance.
- Recommend improvements and strategic actions based on business data and market insights.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, if required.
Qualifications (Sales Account Manager Head)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Master's Degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- At least 3 to 5 years of leadership or managerial experience.
- Experience in SaaS Solutions, Technology, IT Services, or B2B Sales is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
