Job summary

Regent Construction International Inc is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee on-site safety at El Sol Project in Lapu Lapu City. You will conduct daily safety inspections, monitor compliance, and ensure safe work practices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of construction safety experience, COSH/BOSH certificates, SO2 with LCM and HIRAC preferred, and strong reporting skills to support DOLE standards. This is a full-time onsite role requiring coordination of toolbox talks, risk assessments,

Qualifications

• College graduate with safety-focused coursework.
• 3–5 years of safety experience in construction, high-rise preferred.
• COSH and BOSH certificates required; SO2 with LCM and HIRAC preferred.
• Experience in DOLE standards and safety audits.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections of all active work areas.
• Monitor contractors' compliance with approved safety procedures and project safety requirements.
• Inspect scaffolding, ladders, barricades, access ways, temporary platforms, excavation areas, lifting equipment, electrical installations, and other high-risk activities.
• Monitor housekeeping and proper storage of construction materials.
• Ensure emergency exits and fire protection equipment remain unobstructed.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, basements, podium areas, towers, plant rooms, and other project facilities.
• Monitor the safety performance of all contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractors' safety programs, permits, risk assessments, and method statements as required.
• Monitor compliance with toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and other required safety activities.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to contractors.
• Monitor timely closure of safety-related deficiencies.
• Prepare and maintain safety-related reports (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
• Monitor compliance with DOLE, OSH Standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct and participate in weekly construction coordination and safety meetings.

Qualification

• Candidate must possess at least College Graduate
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant safety experience in construction, with experience in high-rise buildings preferred.
• Preferably SO2 with LCM and HIRAC
• Must have Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Certificate
• Must have Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) Certificate
• Experienced in conducting assessments, confident in delivering OSH Presentations and well versed in DOLE standards
• Ability to conduct daily site safety inspections, toolbox meetings, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety orientations, and safety audits.
• Preferably certified in First Aid.
• Good documentation, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work onsite: El Sol Project - Lapu Lapu City
• Compressed Work Schedule: Mon-Fri

• Conduct and participate in weekly construction coordination meetings and safety meetings.
• Promote safety awareness throughout the project.
• Stop or recommend suspension of unsafe work when there is an immediate danger to workers, occupants, visitors, or property.
• Immediately report critical safety violations to the Construction Management Head.
• Recommend sanctions, back-charges, or other contractual actions for repeated or serious safety violations, subject to management approval.
• Escalate unresolved or recurring safety violations to Project Management.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
