Safety Management & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and government safety regulations (DOLE, OSHA, or local authorities as applicable)
- Ensure compliance with the approved Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP)
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits
Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and job hazard analyses
- Provide safety training to workers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Promote safety awareness and accident prevention programs
- Identify unsafe acts and hazardous conditions and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare incident reports
- Coordinate with management on corrective and preventive measures
Site Monitoring & Enforcement
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
- Stop unsafe work activities when necessary and recommend disciplinary actions
- Coordinate safety compliance with subcontractors and vendors
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain safety records, permits, inspection checklists, and reports
- Coordinate with government inspectors and regulatory agencies
- Participate in project meetings to address safety concerns
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or technical/vocational training related to construction or safety
- Certified Safety Officer (SO2 / SO3 or equivalent, as required by law)
- At least 2–5 years of experience in construction safety
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred
- Experience in commercial and residential construction projects
- First Aid and BOSH certification
- Familiarity with safety management systems and reporting tools
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work on active construction sites
- Willingness to work extended hours when required
- Ability to conduct site inspections and safety monitoring
