Job summary

Aice Philippines Ice Cream, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to lead the OSH program across our manufacturing operations. You will conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance with RA 11058 and DO 252-25, and coordinate safety training and inspections.

The role requires strong incident investigation skills, ISO 45001 familiarity, and the ability to implement comprehensive safety initiatives across all departments. Expect a tri-shift environment with active safety leadership.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of relevant OSH work experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSH legal requirements under RA 11058 and DO 252-25.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Familiarity with reportorial requirements (submission of DOLE-mandated reports).
• Ability to design and implement a comprehensive safety program.
• Skills in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Capacity to initiate and sustain safety initiatives across all departments.
• Training requirements: BOSH - 40 hours; COSH; Advanced OSH Training - minimum 48 hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety talks, risk assessments, inspections, and implement preventive/corrective measures.
• Issue work permits and ensure employees and contractors comply with OSH requirements.
• Monitor PPE, emergency equipment, tools, and workplace operations to ensure safety.
• Conduct and coordinate safety training and enforce disciplinary actions for violations.
• Maintain safety documents, accident records, and reports; serve as Secretary and member of the Health and Safety Committee.
• Investigate accidents, conduct safety inspections, and coordinate corrective actions with management and workers.
• Coordinate with government agencies during safety inspections and accident investigations, including submission of required OSH reports.
• Oversee the OSH program and issue Work Stoppage Orders (WSO) when necessary in accordance with OSH standards.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) - 40 hours
• Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH)
• Advanced OSH Training - minimum 48 hours relevant to high-risk industries
