Job summary

AMIGOS CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT INC is seeking a diligent safety professional to enforce construction safety standards on site. The role involves daily inspections, PPE oversight, and conducting safety trainings to promote a zero-harm environment.

You will prepare JHA and risk assessments, monitor high-risk activities, and ensure compliance with Philippine OSH standards. You will coordinate with project stakeholders and support emergency preparedness and safety reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor compliance with PPE and site safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and safety trainings.
• Prepare and implement Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
• Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, lifting operations, electrical works, welding/hot works, and work near or over water.
• Ensure proper implementation of fall protection and water safety procedures.
• Monitor the safe use of boats, life jackets/PFDs, lifelines, and other required water-safety equipment.
• Inspect floating platforms, walkways, access points, and work areas for potential hazards.
• Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions and prepare reports.
• Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, rescue procedures, and emergency response.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, toolbox meeting records, permits, and other required documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of the Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Engineers, Foremen, subcontractors, and client representatives regarding safety concerns.
• Immediately report serious hazards and unsafe activities and recommend suspension of work when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine OSH standards, DOLE requirements, and project safety policies.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management.
