Job summary

GEOHARBOUR PHILIPPINES is hiring a Safety Officer to ensure health, safety and environmental standards across construction projects in the Philippines. This full-time role focuses on site safety, policy implementation and training, with reporting and team support.

The candidate will conduct inspections, investigate incidents and drive continuous improvement. A background in construction safety, strong regulatory knowledge and PC0 certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in construction.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
• Proficient with safety-related software and technology.
• PCO Certificate holder is preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Officer to join our team at GEOHARBOUR PHILIPPINES' in Labrador Pangasinan. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental standards are upheld across our construction projects. This is a full-time position that will allow you to contribute directly to the success and well-being of our workforce.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
• Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and training programs
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrenceEnsuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Providing safety-related guidance and support to project teams
• Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance
• Collaborating with management to continuously improve our safety culture

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organisation
