Qualifications

• Certification as a Safety Officer or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Safety Officer in construction
• Safety management certification required to work as a safety officer

• Identify and develop relevant training programs for workers and management
• Keep record of safety-related accidents within a given time frame
• Recommend protective equipment for workers
• Supervise installation of potentially harmful equipment and disposal of hazardous substances
• Stop processes deemed harmful to workers' health

About the role

Net Pacific, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our team in General Trias City, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our health, safety, and environmental standards across all construction operations. As Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, developing safety protocols, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This position is essential to protecting our workforce and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop relevant training programs for company workers and management
• Keep record of safety-related accidents within a particular time frame
• Recommend appropriate protective equipment that workers should wear while carrying out tasks
• Supervise the installation of potentially harmful equipment and the disposal of hazardous substances
• Stop the continuation of processes that are deemed harmful to the health of workers
• Review existing safety policies and update them where necessary
• Carry out or organize important safety-related training within the company or organization
• Conduct an assessment of possible risks and ensure that preventive measures are taken
• Must have in-dept knowledge of safety legislation and procedures/processes
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with works and managers
• Must have excellent coordination and organizational abilities

What we're looking for

• Certification as a Safety Officer or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety (such as COSH, BOSH, or equivalent recognized qualifications)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Safety Officer in the construction industry or established film
• Must have the relevant safety management certification that is required to work as a safety officer
