About the role

J.V Angeles Construction Corporation is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join our team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. As Safety Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring safety protocols that safeguard our employees, contractors and the public whilst maintaining our commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies and procedures across all construction sites
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Provide safety induction and training programs to all site personnel, including new starters and contractors
• Maintain accurate records of all safety incidents, inspections, audits and training activities
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety legislation
• Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) across sites
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to raise awareness and promote a strong safety culture
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness
• Report on safety performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to management

What we're looking for
