Job description
Responsibilities
Ensures effective and efficient implementation of company rules and regulations, quality policies, systems and procedures, OSH Procedures, and safety plan of the project.
Monitor project site compliance with standards and procedures promulgated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Working Conditions, Health and Safety Division.
Conduct Health and Safety Educational training / orientation for all levels at the project site.
Conduct daily safety inspections in the workplace to ensure the protection of the workers and environment.
Monitor project manpower.
Stores, administer, and monitor first aid treatments on injuries, accidents and other health related illness.
Conduct accident investigation, analyze and formulate recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct periodic safety walkthrough with the PM/PIC.
Issue a stop-work order should he/she find the work potential to hazard condition or imminent danger.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree
Relevant safety certifications or training, such as COSH/BOSH are preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction sites
