Job summary

Capitol Steel Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Safety Officer 3 to lead and implement OSH programs, ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. You will drive safety inspections, risk assessments, investigations, training, and emergency readiness while aligning with regulatory and ISO standards.

On-site role with a strong focus on proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Engineering, OSH certification (SO3) and proven ability to engage employees,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; licensed engineer is an advantage but not required.
• SO3 training/certification with knowledge of OSH standards and applicable safety regulations.
• Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, safety inspections, audits, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Good communication, documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to work on-site, conduct plant roving, and respond to emergencies or urgent safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership in implementing and monitoring OSH programs, policies, and procedures to ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, company, and ISO standards.
• Proactively conduct workplace inspections, safety roving, HIRAC/risk assessments, audits, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead investigations on accidents, incidents, and near misses with root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Lead and facilitate safety orientations, toolbox meetings, training sessions, emergency drills, and safety awareness activities.
• Maintain complete, accurate safety reports, incident documentation, compliance registers, and required OSH records.
• Engage with employees, contractors, and stakeholders to address concerns and build a strong safety culture.
• Support audits, workplace standardization, 8S activities, and continuous safety improvement initiatives.

What you'll do

Take full ownership of implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving our Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and fully compliant workplace. You will actively drive safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and emergency preparedness while ensuring strong support for regulatory and ISO standards.

What are we looking for?
