Job summary

NIPPON SANSO INGASCO, INC. in Lemery, Batangas, Philippines, is seeking an EHS Officer/Inspector to oversee the OSH program and coordinate with the OSH Committee.

The role involves monitoring safety aspects of operations, assisting government inspectors, issuing WSOs, and inspecting firefighting equipment and emergencies. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, has at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and a BOSH certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience as EHS Officer/Inspector.
• Must possess a BOSH Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the overall management of the OSH Program in coordination of the OSH Committee.
• Frequently monitors and inspects health or safety aspects of operations with supervisors/workers.
• Assists government inspectors in OSH inspections and provides OSH reports as required.
• Issues Work Stoppage Orders (WSO) based on OSH standards.
• Inspects firefighting equipment and emergency devices.
• Conducts Safety Orientation for contractors, visitors and new hires.

Job description

• Oversees the overall management of the OSH Program in coordination of the OSH Committee.

• Frequently monitors and inspects any health or safety aspect of the operation being undertaken with the participation of supervisors and workers.

• Assists government inspectors in the conduct of safety and health inspection at any time whenever work is performed or during the conduct of accident inspection by providing necessary information and OSH reports as required by OSH standards.

• Issues Work Stoppage Order (WSO) of Safety Stop when necessary based on the requirements and procedure by OSH standards.

• Conducts inspection of firefighting equipment and other emergency devices.

• Conducts Safety Orientation for all contractors, visitors and newly hired employees

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree of any Engineering Course or equivalent.

• With at least 2-year experience in a Manufacturing Company as EHS Officer/Inspector

• Must possess a BOSH Certificate

• Preferably with driver's licenseWork Set up: Lemery, Batangas
