The Retail Operations Manager / Sell-Out Manager is responsible for driving sell-out performance, in-store execution excellence, and retail profitability across assigned territories or accounts. The role ensures that products move from shelf to customer efficiently by managing store operations standards, promoter performance, merchandising execution, inventory health, and sell-out strategies aligned with business targets. The role collaborates with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Retail Partners to ensure a strong consumer experience and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sell-Out Performance Management
- Drive monthly sell-out targets per brand and SKU
- Monitor average monthly sell-out, week of stock, and out of stock risks on a store level
- Protect and grow Share of Business (SOB)
- Analyze POS data, inventory levels, and sell-through rates
- Identify slow‑moving SKUs and execute corrective action plans with the Product team
- Monitor and share competitor pricing, promotions, and display activities
- Develop tactical sell-out strategies (bundles, promos, attach selling, upselling)
Retail Execution & Store Operations
- Ensure timely and complete rollout of New Product Introductions (NPIs) across all assigned stores
- Manage disciplined and controlled exit execution for End‑of‑Life (EOL) SKUs to protect sales and minimize losses
- Monitor sell-out performance during NPI and EOL phases to avoid sales disruption
Store Placement & Visibility
- Secure high‑traffic, high‑conversion placement within stores
- Ensure compliance with approved planograms and display guidelines
- Monitor competitor positioning and recommend placement improvements
- Conduct regular store audits and performance reviews
- Improve store‑level operational efficiency and conversion rates
- Ensure visual merchandising and brand guidelines are followed
Go‑To‑Market Execution
- Translate Product Management strategies into actionable retail execution plans
- Ensure pricing, promotions, displays, and sales materials are correctly implemented
- Confirm retail readiness before product launches (stock availability, training, visibility)
- Provide structured field feedback on product performance and market response
Promoter & Field Team Management – Sales Coordinator
- Recruit, train, and manage promoters or retail coordinators
- Monitor Sales Coordinator’s reports (e.g., productivity per promoter)
- Implement incentive programs tied to sell-out
- Drive motivation through coaching, engagement and performance evaluations
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and compliance with retail policies
- Ensure compliance with 5P standards:
- Product – Complete assortment, stock availability, proper display
- Price – Accurate price tags and system pricing
- Promotion – Correct promo implementation and POS registration
- Place – Optimal shelf space, visibility, and fixture placement
- People – Groomed, trained, and performance‑driven promoters
Account & Retail Partner Management
- Maintain strong relationships with store managers and retail chains
- Align sell-out programs with retail partner initiatives
- Negotiate display spaces, promo placements, and activation areas
Reporting & Analytics
- Provide weekly and monthly sell-out performance reports
- Track KPIs:
- Sell-out growth
- Conversion rate
- Average basket size
- Inventory turnover
- Promo ROI
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
Consumer Experience & In-Store Marketing
- Ensure excellent customer journey inside stores
- Support experiential marketing, demos, and retail activations
- Collaborate with Marketing for in-store campaigns and launches
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in retail operations, field sales, or sell-out management
- Experience handling modern trade / key accounts
- Strong understanding of POS systems and retail analytics
- Experience managing promoters or field teams
- Willing to travel and conduct store visits

- Background in consumer electronics and/or appliance retail
- Experience working with major retail chains (e.g., SM, Robinsons, Abenson, etc.)
