• A Retail Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring the store is clean and organized, and assisting with the sale of products. Their duties vary depending on the retail environment, but generally include the following:
• Customer Service:
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Helping customers find items and making recommendations.
  • Handling customer complaints or concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
• Operating the cash register, processing sales, and handling payments.
• Upselling or cross-selling products when appropriate.
• Assisting in meeting store sales targets.
• Product Knowledge:
  • Learning and staying up-to-date on product details, features, and pricing.
  • Assisting with product demonstrations and ensuring products are presented correctly.
• Stock Management:
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries of new products.
  • Organizing and replenishing shelves, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stocktaking.
• Store Presentation:
  • Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well-organized.
  • Maintaining attractive product displays and signage.
