Job Description

• A Retail Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a retail environment, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and assisting customers with their shopping needs.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the store; assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions; provide information about promotions, products, and services; handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally; process transactions and handle payments via cash, card, or other methods.
• Stock Management: Restock shelves and displays regularly to maintain inventory levels; ensure products are organized and properly labeled; check stock levels and inform the manager of low stock items; assist in receiving deliveries and checking merchandise for damages or discrepancies; promote and upsell products to customers based on their needs; assist with store promotions, seasonal sales, or special events; meet sales targets and contribute to team sales goals.
• Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing; maintain product displays and ensure items are correctly priced; monitor store security and report any suspicious activities; work alongside colleagues to achieve store goals and maintain a positive working environment; attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
