Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Restaurant Systems Head to provide overall leadership and direction for the organization's restaurant management systems, operational technology, and process governance.
The role will be responsible for establishing the overall systems roadmap, driving enterprise-wide transformation, ensuring system governance and operational integration, and leading initiatives that improve restaurant productivity, inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, and scalability.
The Restaurant Systems Head will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership and will lead cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Procurement, and Commissary functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's overall Restaurant Management Systems strategy and roadmap.
- Provide strategic direction for restaurant systems, operational technology, process governance, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Oversee RMS platforms and related systems supporting stores, commissaries, inventory, supply chain, and restaurant operations.
- Lead enterprise-wide system implementations, major upgrades, integrations, migrations, and organization-wide rollouts.
- Establish system governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating procedures.
- Drive business process transformation and standardization across the restaurant network.
- Oversee inventory management systems and governance to ensure accuracy, integrity, reconciliation, and effective controls.
- Utilize operational and business data to identify opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
- Establish organizational KPIs, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives involving automation, system integration, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with senior leaders and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable technology and systems solutions.
- Oversee vendor management, system service providers, technology partners, and major implementation partners.
- Ensure effective change management, user adoption, training, and communication during system implementations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Restaurant Systems organization, including managers and senior professionals.
- Manage the systems portfolio, project priorities, budgets, resources, and implementation timelines.
- Ensure systems and processes comply with company policies, audit requirements, operational standards, and internal controls.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive management regarding systems investments, technology roadmaps, and operational transformation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of relevant experience in restaurant systems, operations excellence, business process transformation, inventory management, ERP/RMS, or related functions.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience, preferably managing managers and/or large cross-functional teams.
- Extensive experience in restaurant operations, QSR, food service, retail, hospitality, or other multi-site operations.
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide RMS/ERP/POS implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, restaurant processes, supply chain workflows, and operational controls.
- Strong strategic planning, project management, financial, analytical, and business transformation capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive organization-wide change.
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities.
- Experience managing external vendors, technology partners, and major system implementation projects.
