Job summary

Confidential Careers seeks an Assistant Manager – Learning & Development to partner with Operations and HR in designing practical learning programs that drive service excellence, operational performance, employee development, and business growth. You will lead L&D initiatives, manage onboarding, and guide trainers across multiple restaurant locations.

The role requires 4–6 years in L&D or related fields, with supervisory experience and a strong background in training design and facilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Hospitality, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Organizational Development.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Experience in food service, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or other high-volume operations advantageous.
• Strong background in training design, facilitation, and Training Needs Analysis.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with frontline teams and visiting multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement L&D programs aligned with business and Operations needs.
• Lead training programs for frontline employees, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Restaurant Managers.
• Manage new-hire onboarding and training programs.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis and identify capability gaps.
• Design and facilitate leadership and people-management programs.
• Develop training materials, facilitator guides, and learning resources.
• Support Train-the-Trainer and internal trainer development programs.
• Monitor training completion, effectiveness, and learning outcomes.
• Partner with Operations to ensure learning is translated into workplace performance.
• Lead and support learning projects, talent development, and succession initiatives.
• Coach and guide L&D team members and trainers.
