Shangri-La The Fort, Manila

Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, located within Fort Bonifacio, the former military base and city centre. With 60 storeys, comprising 576 hotel guestrooms, 97 hotel residences and 98 exclusive Horizon Homes, the building is destined to become a Manila landmark. The new hotel will complement the company’s five existing properties in the Philippines.

The mixed-use business, residential and retail tower will be located along 5thAvenue and 30th Street, within the new, fast-developing Taguig business district. A 30-minute drive from the international airport, the hotel will also be close to the Manila Golf Club and Manila Polo Club, and 10 minutes from Makati district, the capital’s financial, cultural and entertainment hub with first-class shopping malls.

Job Summary

As the Resident Manager, his/her key responsibilty will be to manage the day-to-day operation of the hotel, in line with company policy and brand standards. He/She will assist in maximizing all areas of profitability through revenue generation and productivity to ensure enhanced levels of guest satisfaction by creating a unique and personalized experience in the hotel. He/She will create an environment that promotes development of people through coaching and mentoring. He/She will represent the hotel through visibility and high profile with both in-house and external guests.

Qualifications

• Preferably with at least 5 years of experience in a Resident Manager role in a similar size property
• Preferably has strong organizational, planning and operational management skills
• Preferably with experience in quality improvement initiatives within an international hotel operation
• Preferably demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, mentor, and build high‑performing teams
• Preferably proactive, self-motivated, and results‑oriented, with a strong sense of initiative
• Preferably committed to maintaining high professional standards and consistently upholding company values and brand standards
• Preferably has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with colleagues, guests, and external stakeholders
