Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Philippines-based Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation for an Australian client.

This independent contractor role is 100% remote, aligned with AU business hours (9am–5pm AEST) and requires strong Xero skills, experience with Simpro, Ezzybill/Hubdoc or Dext, and excellent English communication.

You’ll work under the Australian finance controller with no bank login access and will be paid monthly in AUD.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounts experience with Australian clients.
• Strong, hands-on Xero experience covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation.
• Sound understanding of Australian GST coding (e.g. GST on expenses, GST free, capital purchases).
• Experience reconciling supplier statements and following up debtors.
• Excellent written and spoken English, and confident phoning Australian customers.
• High attention to detail and comfortable working to documented procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable: Process supplier invoices via Ezzybill and Hubdoc into Xero with correct GST coding.
• Accounts receivable: Invoice completed jobs in Simpro and follow up debtors.
• Bank reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts in Xero daily.
• General: Follow documented procedures and assist with AI/automation tools.
