Job summary

Hunt St is hiring a Filipino-based Bookkeeper to support Australian clients remotely. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll support, and reporting using Xero & MYOB, working as an independent contractor for an Australian client.

The role requires 3+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience, strong knowledge of GST/BAS, and proficiency with Now Infinity. Core AU business hours with flexible scheduling for a remote setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Australian bookkeeping.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero.
• Solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices, including GST, BAS, Payroll, Superannuation, Now Infinity.
• Proven experience performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing management and compliance reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Bookkeeping for multiple Australian clients using Xero & MYOB.
• Maintain accurate financial records; bank/credit card reconciliations; AP/AR; coding; journal entries.
• Payroll processing support; leave tracking; superannuation calculations; payroll reconciliations.
• Prepare regular financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheets, Cashflow.
• Support BAS preparation and lodgement; ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with accountants and advisors; respond to client queries; maintain timely follow-ups.
