Job summary

Makai Labs is seeking a Talent Sourcer on a contract basis to build and deliver qualified candidate pipelines across technical and product roles. This is a pure sourcing role with no screening, interviews, or closing duties; you will hand candidates off recruiter-ready to the team.

You will work remotely from outside the United States, delivering weekly output with minimal day-to-day oversight. The contractor arrangement is 1099 independent, offshore-only, and focused on top-of-funnel sourcing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in Ashby with full proficiency.
• 3+ years sourcing experience, preferably for technical roles.
• Strong boolean/X-Ray search skills across LinkedIn and GitHub.
• Experience with Juicebox searches.
• Excellent written English for outreach.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute sourcing strategies for open roles in engineering, AI, QA, DevOps, and product.
• Run searches and build passive candidate pipelines using Juicebox as a primary tool.
• Refine Boolean and X-Ray search strings across platforms.
• Send cold outreach and manage response sequences to move candidates into the pipeline.
• Maintain candidate data hygiene and tagging inside Ashby.
• Deliver a defined weekly volume of qualified candidates per role.
• Flag credential inconsistencies for recruiter follow-up.
• Maintain basic sourcing metrics for weekly reporting.
