Job summary

Emapta is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of U.S.-based clients. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and timely reporting while working remotely from the Philippines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and multi-entity accounting. This role requires US Central Time availability and a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based clients and applying U.S. accounting practices.
• Proven ability to independently manage month-end close.
• Background handling multiple clients/entities simultaneously.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills with supporting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Post and categorize transactions across bank accounts, credit cards, and processors.
• Code transactions by entity, location, class, department, and GL account.
• Enter vendor bills with complete documentation in AP system.
• Apply customer payments and deposits to open invoices; resolve unapplied cash.
• Match merchant deposits to gross sales; record processing fees, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Prepare and review monthly close documentation and schedules.
