Job summary

Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an experienced U.S. Accountant to support U.S.-based firms from a fully remote Philippines-based role. You will manage full-cycle accounting, prepare accurate financial reports, and maintain organized records while collaborating with U.S.-based clients and team members.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of U.S. accounting or bookkeeping experience, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on U.S. accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with Xero, Bill.com, Google Workspace, and/or Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
• CPA and non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience communicating directly with clients or stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Willing and able to work U.S. business hours / Philippine night shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Perform bank, credit card, merchant, and loan account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial analysis.
• Process and/or support payroll activities based on client requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain accounting checklists, SOPs, and close calendars.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based clients and team members through meetings and regular communication.
• Communicate financial information clearly and flag potential issues or discrepancies when identified.
