Job summary
RemoteRaven is seeking a remote Safety Administrator to own day-to-day administration of the safety, insurance, and risk program for its W-2 workforce and subcontractor ecosystem. The role covers OSHA recordkeeping, incident investigations, and COI management, with training delivery for remote staff and strict adherence to W-2 versus 1099 practices. This is a fully remote, full-time position with no site visits.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years in safety, risk, or compliance administration.
Working knowledge of OSHA and state plan variations.
Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and reporting obligations.
Experience administering workers' compensation claims and working with carriers and brokers.
Understanding of W-2 vs 1099 engagement and related compliance.
Strong policy drafting and written communication skills.
Ability to work fully remote across multiple states with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update the written safety program for the company’s W-2 population.
Build and deliver remote safety training for employees, with focus on outside sales and field staff.
Develop training on ladder safety, roof access, and fall hazards during inspections.
Maintain emergency action plans, hazard communication, and heat illness materials.
Administer OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 recordkeeping and annual posting.
Manage training assignments, completion tracking, and recertification schedules.
Conduct incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assist with workers' compensation claims and carrier coordination.
Administer the certificate of insurance program and subcontract documentation.
