Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience; construction, project, development, or real estate accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), account reconciliations, and financial reporting practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, submits, and records construction and development draw requests in accordance with lender, investor, and funding source requirements.
• Reconciles draw activity, construction funding sources, and related balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Reviews project income statements, job cost reports, and general ledger activity to verify the accuracy and completeness of project costs.
• Processes and records wire transfers, including contractor payments, project funding transfers, accounts payable funding, and other project-related disbursements.
• Reviews, validates, and records payment applications, invoices, lien waivers, and supporting documentation for construction and development projects.
• Prepares and compiles monthly project and property financial reviews, including analysis of project activity, funding status, and budget-to-actual variances.
• Maintains accurate project accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation throughout the development and construction lifecycle.
• Collaborates with lenders, title companies, fiscal agents, housing authorities, contractors, and internal business partners to support project funding, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Assists with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to requests for information.
• Supports departmental initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and special projects as assigned.
• Maintains timely and regular attendance and performs other duties as assigned.
