Remote Raven is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own the full weekly payroll cycle for about 150 employees and handle payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations. Beginners are welcome if they have accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and discipline to follow a defined weekly process.

The role requires working with payroll data, tax filings, and reconciliations, with a preference for Spectrum experience.

Qualifications

• Some accounting knowledge to support payroll tasks.
• Ability to follow a structured process and meet deadlines.
• Preference for experience with payroll data, tax filings, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with certified payroll is a plus; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review and post employee timesheets each day.
• Finalize timesheets, PTO, and premiums; verify payroll rates weekly.
• Upload payroll and process payments; complete payroll tax filings.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations related to payroll and related entries.
